Working in the translation profession is not an easy chore. Constantly battling deadlines in all international time-zones, managing stakeholders with different languages and cultures, while trying to normalize it all for our clients who are constantly demanding faster, cheaper and better service, is definitely not a walk in the park!
Translation as a Profession
It takes disciplined, competent, knowledgeable, experienced, dedicated and patient professionals to succeed in the translation profession. Nothing less.
But we keep at it for the simple reason that we know deep down inside that we were born to do this job. That if we don’t step up to do it, few others are able to take our place.
At the year-end holiday season, it all becomes clear. Most of the year, everyone is very busy with the daily grind. But around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, many take the time to reflect on what is important to them and share their thoughts with others.
Some call to wish others well, some send emails, some
send cards and some send gifts. We’ve done and received our share of them all.
Last week, for the first time in our twenty years of business, a client sent our team a gift!
We are so humbled and touched!
Thank you to all our clients for your business over the years, you enable us to put food on our tables. A special thank you to the clients and suppliers that email or call us wishing us well during the holidays.
Lastly, a very special thank you to the client that took the time and trouble to mail a gift! It speaks volumes to us and we are so grateful. We will cherish and honor everyone’s kind gestures for a long time.
To everyone and specially all that are involved in the translation profession, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
